It sure has been busy around here lately, although I can't say specifically why. Here is a quick update from the last few weeks!

Clementine's Greatest Hits
Here is Clementine singing her greatest hits of 2010! The above video is Clementine starting to sing Happy Happy Nolan, transitioning into EIEIO, but the letter order tricks her and she gets caught up in an Alphabet frenzy! My favorite part is when she sings "LMNO" with a mouthful of Cheerios. PQR and S are much clearer.
Below is a video of her singing Happy Happy Nolan (a song that doesn't exist) in it's purest form.

Day at the Zoo
I've said it before and I'll say it again; I LOVE Woodland Park Zoo. We have so much fun when we go there!
Last weekend was really the first reliably sunny day we've had this year so we high-tailed it down to Seattle Saturday morning to meet up with Cam's family at the zoo!
Not only was it the first day of spring but it was also Clem's first adventure out in public without a stroller! Well, we had the stroller but only used it for tired legs, not the whole time. We weren't sure how she would do, if she'd stay near us or take off like a jack-rabbit, and we were pleasantly surprised. She definitely blazed her own trail but made sure we were close by. The first 15-20 minutes we were there she wanted me to carry her! She warmed up pretty quickly though!
Each time we walked up to the exhibit's window she's eyeball all the other quietly gaping big kids that were already there, then march right up, jab her finger to the window and say "HEY! YOU ANIMALS! WHERE YOU ARE?" in a very big voice. Then we'd leave the exhibit and she'd say "Animals?"
She saw some big kids playing on these stone lions. She waited until the big kids were gone then walked up, put her hand in the lion's mouth and said "OW!" She's so funny.

I love this face!!!
The biggest hit of the day were the sea otters. Clem would watch them dive in, blow bubbles and search for something in the rocks. She loved watching them swim!

This is as close as I ever hope to be to a grizzly bear. Scary.
As Clementine walked up to this statue she said "Aw, a baby!"

We saw lots of amazing creatures at the zoo. Clementine was definitely in her element and had a great day!

WWU Reunion
On President's Day my old Western roomates and I got together for a little reunion! This is the first time we've all been together in six years or so! Kirsten, Julie, Bekki and I all lived on the third floor at Buchanan Towers @ WWU 12 years ago (12 years???!!!) and the following year, Kirsten, Bekki, Cristi and I were roomates (Cristi couldn't come this time). Now Kirsten lives in Minnesota but she came out with her family for the Olympics.
We met in Fairhaven for brunch, then went shopping and hung out on the Village Green.
Then we went up to Western and walked around reminiscing. Here we are in Red Square sitting at the fountain.

And here we are outside the Viking Union with all the offsprings. Mine couldn't be there because she'd been throwing up! Sad!

But a few days later, Kirsten and her family came to stay at our house. Their daughter Lenyn is one year younger than Clementine. Clem loved having a "baby" in the house and wanted to hold her--even though Lenyn is a little walking, independent cutie pie!

It was fun seeing the girls play together. Clementine and Lenyn loved hugging one another. Look at these cute, blonde future WWU roomates!
Gay BINGO
Sissy's 27th birthday was a few weeks ago and she deemed it the perfect opportunity to cross one thing she's been meaning to do off her bucket list: GAY BINGO!
First we got ready at her house putting on gobs of make-up and I did her hair! We don't even look like exhausted mommies to toddlers here!
Then we went to dinner and headed over to the Center of the Universe (Fremont). Gay BINGO is a monthly event and it is a HUGE one! All the proceeds go to fight AIDS. We had such a blast!

I think Sissy enjoyed it, too!

We had our own table reserved and there were all kinds of goodies-hot pictures of half naked dudes and "I Saw You" cards (that's an important part of the night).

It was such a big deal, Tina Fey even came out! Just kidding, that's my BFF Emma but she looks like Tina Fey with her glasses! AND she's just as witty.

Here's Sissy with her friend Heather.

More from Gymnastics 2.0
Here are a few more videos of Clementine at Gymnastics. She is swinging from the bar, balancing on the beam and tipping over the "house" mat.
This was a few weeks ago-each week it's changed up a little. This week, Clementine learned to touch her toes to the bar while she hangs, crouch down through an obstacle on the balance beam and more practicing somersaults, of course!
