Beauty Queen Photo Shoot
On the 26th of each month, we hold a little photo shoot with Clementine marking each passing month. Saturday Clem turned THREE MONTHS OLD (where has time gone?????) so we were taking her monthly pictures (with her purple teddy bear). Here are our favorites.

Isn't this the most beautiful baby? She just doesn't take bad pictures! She's very photogenic which she gets from neither Cam nor I! And isn't her dress the cuteness? It was a gift from Emma's mum Val!
So, her 3 month update is as follows: she laughs a lot, kicks her feet a lot, wants to stand and sit up (with assistance, of course), she holds her rattle and shakes it herself and she says things that sound like "HEY!" and "EEEYYYYYY" and when she's hungry she says "nnnneigh."
And Cam has started her video game lessons, as any gamer knows, you can't start them too young!

The transformation is complete
It's official. I am truly a stay at home mom. I even have the matching track-pants outfit to prove it. See? Now I just need a mini-van with goldfish crumbs ground into the seats, a few soccer balls in the trunk, and a Costco membership. Actually, we do have a Costco membership so the transformation really IS almost complete.
Clementine is growing like a weed. Her feet are nearly growing out of her little baby shoes and her pants are getting a little snug! She's almost ready for her 3-6 month clothes! She is very very funny and loves to laugh most of the day. Actually, from about 7 to 11am, that's really all she does. As soon as we wake up in the morning, I peer my head over her bassinet and she laughs her little head off. What a way to wake up every morning! She laughs when I sing (so does Cam), laughs when she sits on the couch, laughs when she wakes up and is happy to see us, laughs in the swing...you get the idea. She is one very happy baby.

They grow up so fast...
It all started when Clementine decided to sleep through the night. I really enjoyed that decision. But now this little peanut has her heart set on growing up pronto. She started rolling over (front to back!!!) last week, "talking" nonstop, and sitting propped up on the couch--which by the way, she thinks is about the funniest thing in her mini-universe. Those things I can handle. Those things are still babyish, right?
But now she is trying to sit up by herself! As if that's not enough, she wants to stand all the livelong day! Today she was holding onto her binky, guiding it toward her mouth (the teacher in me wants to note the fine motor skills she's developed already).
What happened to my little five pound, orange skinned baby that just wanted to cuddle? The days of carefully adding up the ounces of food she's eaten are gone--we no longer worry that she gets enough to eat at each feeding! There's plenty of evidence supporting that she is *VERY* well nourished. Gone are the days where we could snuggle or nap together for hours--she wants to sleep on her own. I still remember the days when Cameron and I had no idea what color her eyes really were because they were so rarely open!
Clementine is no longer an itty bitty, sleepy, cuddly little munchkin. She is becoming a little girl with a sense of humor, loud voice (and dolphin noises), steady head, and a sweet smile right before our very eyes!

2008 Resolutions

I can't believe it's already 2008! How did this sneak up on us so quickly??
Clementine made a New Year's resolution to take it easier on her mom and dad but as resolutions go, that one's been thrown out the window already! The first couple days were calm and peaceful around our love nest but the crying jags are beginning once again. I have two theories: she's teething early or entering a growth spurt. Fortunately for me, she has stuck to her resolution of sleeping through the night. That's been going quite nicely! Clementine conks out right at 11:30 and doesn't make another peep until 5:30! Six hours of sleep is absolute bliss!
Cam's resolution is to avoid junk food in 2008. Mine is to simplify my life by getting more organized--and to workout more.
Cam hung up Clementine's mobile and Fisher Price Wonder Aquarium in her crib last weekend. So far, she doesn't quite understand what's happening in the aquarium but she'll get it soon. The mobile keeps her entertained for quite a long time right now! She loves the music and will reach out toward the mobile and kick her feet, laugh and "talk" to the animals while they twirl! It's very adorable.
