It all started when Clementine decided to sleep through the night. I really enjoyed that decision. But now this little peanut has her heart set on growing up pronto. She started rolling over (front to back!!!) last week, "talking" nonstop, and sitting propped up on the couch--which by the way, she thinks is about the funniest thing in her mini-universe. Those things I can handle. Those things are still babyish, right?
But now she is trying to sit up by herself! As if that's not enough, she wants to stand all the livelong day! Today she was holding onto her binky, guiding it toward her mouth (the teacher in me wants to note the fine motor skills she's developed already).
What happened to my little five pound, orange skinned baby that just wanted to cuddle? The days of carefully adding up the ounces of food she's eaten are gone--we no longer worry that she gets enough to eat at each feeding! There's plenty of evidence supporting that she is *VERY* well nourished. Gone are the days where we could snuggle or nap together for hours--she wants to sleep on her own. I still remember the days when Cameron and I had no idea what color her eyes really were because they were so rarely open!
Clementine is no longer an itty bitty, sleepy, cuddly little munchkin. She is becoming a little girl with a sense of humor, loud voice (and dolphin noises), steady head, and a sweet smile right before our very eyes!
