4 months already!

How quickly time flies when you're exhausted!

Clementine is growing and growing. She's a little over 13 pounds now and 23.5 inches long. She is learning new things just about every single day! She is laughing louder now, trying to sit up still, chewing on her lower lip and my personal favorite is her new *growling* technique. She does whatever she can to make us laugh-she will also fake cough and fake sneeze to make us smile. She's a total ham!
Clementine's hair is starting to grow in a bit thicker--it's still short but the blonde fuzz is growing in thick! She's so beautiful!

Today's Milestones

Well, this picture is an old one but it fits today's milestone.

Jack has been very interested in Clementine since we first brought her home. Clementine so far has shown only a little interest in Jack. I've been teaching Clementine how to pet Jack gently and they both really like that. Today Clementine was sitting on my lap while Jack lay next to us on the couch. She reached over and pet him several times! Then she grabbed his ear and tried to put it in her mouth. Gross. But still! She pet him for real! Not gentle pets as I have emphasized but they were definite pets. She's such a genius.

AND, today at Costco, she put her OWN binky right into her mouth like she's been doing this her whole life! Who is this girl??

Cheeks for miles

Our kid is pretty darn funny. But sometimes her funniest moments come when we least expect it. Take this picture for example; she was snoozing, wrapped up in her blanket in the swing. The lighting was great and her skin was clean and smooth. I started snapping pictures

So pretty

and then I got this one--cheeks for miles and miles.

When Cam saw this picture he laughed so hard he drooled on his shirt. Ours is a pretty goofy little family.

Happy Birthday Aunty Sissy

This weekend was Aunty Sissy's 25th birthday. She thinks she's old. I say Try being 30 with a 3 month old--THAT feels old!
To celebrate, the fam took a trip to the Seattle Aquarium. The featured attraction was the Octopus exhibit, but Clementine was the star of the show.

Aunty Sissy, being the birthday girl, got to carry the Bug in the Moby wrap for awhile. Clem liked looking at the fish and the bright lights. But that didn't last very long! Pretty soon Clem was wet and hungry and let everyone in the joint know about it!
As she was eating her bottle a very nice man came over to say hello and remark what a beautiful baby this kid is. Oh, trust me sir, I know! :) He said "With a name like Clementine, you know she's bound for big things!" I concur!

We saw many fun things including the seals and the otters (those were my favorite). Clem liked to look at all the people going by.

Here are all the ladies in the fam, Aunty Sissy, Yaya, me and Great Granny. Clementine was just out of this shot in her stroller.

Mini me

Update (finally)!

My blogger skills have been waining lately due to my cold (need sleep), my stinkin' Master's program (too much work to do) and I've been busy teaching Clementine to blow raspberries (adorable but messy).

Here's what you really came here for: pics and updates.

First of all, Clementine is more adorable than ever. See?

She is 15 weeks old and is a genius, which I have stated in several other blog posts.

However, I overestimated her head control. We tried the exersaucer for the first time last week. She was excited, I was in stitches and her head wobbled back and forth the entire time.

The exersaucer will have to wait a bit longer. However, the swing is still fascinating to her, thank goodness.

And she has my hand to suck on

This one's for you Forina!

Apparently someone has some comments ready to go! More pictures of Clementine in the snow and exercauser coming soon :)

These are her "formal" 3 month portraits--thank you Ya Ya!
Clementine crying is Cam's favorite! Isn't it funny?
